WifiArmy.com and w2pi.com have posted a video on YouTube hyping their upcoming Android game and submission to the Android Developers Contest. The video shows the game using GPS and WiFi tracking to find and track other players similar to FPS games like Halo and Quake. At this point, it appears you use the camera on your phone to chase down and target your opponent, and the game ambitiously claims it will be able to recognize body parts for targeting and scoring hits. Most importantly, I’m not sure how they expect you to run down the street using your camera’s phone as a targeting device - you’d be likely to run into people or trip over something.

Normally I would report on real code, but as this is the most ambitious project that I’ve seen announced so far, I thought it was worth a mention. WifiArmy describes the gameplay as…

The basis of the game is very simple. Kill or be killed. The game searches for other players in the area with WiFi, and alerts both players. Then the cell phone camera turns on while the two players hunt one another. The software recognizes human shapes and is able to distinguish a limb, torso or headshot.
